FAA Part 107 Drone Commercial Pilot Test Prep

$550.00

This 18-hour class is for students with some small unmanned aircraft system flight experience and will include 12 hours of test-prep classroom training (Ground School) and 6 hours of instructor-led flying practice (Flight School). The $550 fee includes workbooks. Students will fly DJI Phantom 3 Advanced Aircraft during practice sessions.

Curriculum Details

The Ground School classroom portion will cover all of the materials that need to be understood in order to pass the certification test. Students must understand that if they wish to pass the test, study and reading outside of class will be required.

The Flight School portion will be a “hands-on” flying experience with the instructor present and will cover the proper and safe controlled flying using both manual and automatic features. There is an expectation that the student will have some previous flying experience.

About the Instructor

Chuck Ferrell is an FAA Certified Drone Pilot & Media Entrepreneur. During a 25-year career in local television news, Chuck earned the reputation for being a high-energy, innovative news executive with a track record of consistently producing high quality stories and newscasts. Whether Chuck is flying a news assignment, a luxury home, or video for a TV commercial, he’s always looking for new angles and views by hand-flying and not relying on the orbit or zip line shots common to automated flight software. But if the mission is mapping an orchard, or a thermal image inspection, Chuck’s attention to detail makes the difference. Chuck is an experienced teacher and masterful communicator.
